I am sure things will change in 5 years, but here is my Global Entry renewal experience.

My Global Entry expires on my birthday (Jan), that is my birthday during the 5th year after getting the card not 5 years after receiving approval- unless, by some fluke that was the same date)

I dug through my wayback machine of emails and found the link and password only to discover that the original GOES website I'd used had been replaced a couple years ago, so I got to create a new account. woohoo!

Maybe 7 minutes to create the account, verify my identity, declare countries visited in the last year or so, and hit "go"
That was Nov 18th.
Received my new card Tuesday. Just over 3 weeks, which seems pretty timely.

If you renew early, the renewal is 5 years out from the date your old card expires, not 5 years from the date you renew. So if you get within 6 months or so, and think of renewing, go ahead and do it.

peace & processes
