I am tempted to just hang it up - but the pencil needs to be
sharpened a little to verify whether that is realistic.
I was looking to go a few more years - but there you are.

Money/income is important, but not the only important factor. I'm sure you know people, like I do, who died on the job or retired and died quickly. IMO it's more important to have plenty of great living after retirement--which is more easily accomplished by retiring early.

In retrospect, I wish my husband had retired sooner, like I did. I'd much rather have more quality time with him than more money.
