I appreciate the mention, but I'm sorry to say I have to withdraw my name from contention this year. Admittedly, the repeated calls from MichaelRead's mother have finally gotten to me. After seeing the beating that GoofyHoofy took last year in what has been called by some the largest gap between a third and fourth runner up since Arthur Anderson went into the pulp and paper business, she just couldn't bear to witness MR go through a similar public trouncing. Frankly, I understand the sentiment. Goofy still sends me his therapy bills to this day, and let's just say that his doctor seems to be one helluva lot more profitable than AOL Latin America.

As an alternative, I nominate RJMason, mainly because it is public knowledge that he recently came into some money, and this seems like a much better method than asking for a direct handout. Also, RJ may be the only regular poster whose most recommended post actually came before the recommendation feature was instituted, which means his selection would likely stand the test of time.
