I bet and hope they will continue with steady and sustained buybacks for years and years. Share and shareholder turnover has been quite limited over the years so I doubt a Dutch auction would go over as intended. I know I would not be tempted unless it was a Very large premium.

When that very sad day comes, WEB has very thoughtfully planned the settling of his estate over 12 years. This seems in the Buffett’s and all owners best interest with minimal impact on our culture, execution, and supply/ demand of shares. It will also discourage any activists from trying to step in and pushing the idea of breaking it up. May he surpass Mrs. B in longevity!
