I buy most of my fruits and veggies from a NYC food cart --

The one on my corner is about twice as large as the ones pictured -- Fruits and Veggies come into the City via "Hunt's Point Market" a HUGE operation -- We could talk about almost any fresh food commodity -- the produce comes in ready to go to a supermarket or restaurant immediately. If it doesn't sell on the first day (perhaps lots of blueberries around and so not all sell.)

The second day it shows up on my corner -- The other day I bought 2 pears ($1), 4 peaches ($2), 2 8oz. cartons of blueberries ($3), 2 skinny Zucchimi ($1). I could have had all kinds of other things -- bananas 5/$1), asparagus $2 for a bunch, broccoli $2 for a nice sized head. And lots of other stuff.

There's a Whole Foods 3 blocks away and a Trader Joe's 4+ blocks -- I sometimes shop for fruits and veggies (and flowers) at both of these.
