I can't tell you what the future holds, but in every situation, there are reasons to be optimistic. Are tough times ahead? Probably. Are good times ahead? I'm pretty sure there are. If you focus on the negative and succumb to fear, you will likely make choices that you will later regret. Stay focused on the good in the world. It's never as bad as the doomsdayers say.
Regarding investing, I recommend you stay invested for the long term. The market is amazingly resilient, and entrepreneurs have shown astounding creativity in all kinds of political environments.
Take a deep breath. Take several. And remind yourself that things will most likely turn out ok.
