I care deeply.
The GBP:USD has dropped massively. Every month I shift some funds to USD and the returns are less and less. Pre-brexit I could expect between 1.5 - 1.7 USD for my 1 pound. Now it's 1.26.

Of course, my pre-brexit holdings did extremely well purely due to being in USD. But I still rather a strong pound.

RE: the Royal Family. I don't see how they're that much different from say the Rockefeller family. They have a massive amount of property and investments, tied up in effectively a 'trust' for tax benefits, and take 15-25% of the income - the rest going to the government.

Sure it's a weird institution, but the Royal Family and Harry Potter brings us a lot of money from the crazy American tourists who visit us every year :)
