I checked the "Miscellaneous Itemized Deductions Statement" for Schedule A and sure enough, there's the loss on Line 21.

Based on my and my wife's typical unreimbursed employee expenses, I should be able to push up over the 2% AGI floor, take the deduction.

I'm glad the software was smart enough to make use of the potential deduction!

I'm not so sure I should congratulate you on those unreimbursed employee expenses .... it sounds too much like congratulating someone on excessive state income taxes so one could itemize. 8)
