I did not receive a letter, but instead the Notice. My concern comes from when I went to check title in my own house, which revealed the FTL. Basically, when I try to sell the house, the title company or even the buyer will see the FTL and cringe. Frankly, I wouldn't buy a house with this level of uncertainty.

As to solutions, I've tried the letter to the IRS noting that my mother passed away and the house is mine. The IRS responded that I have no standing to question the FTL, since it is my mother's name. Is there a way to force/request the IRS to recognize that the FTL does not apply to my property?
