I finished the drains and vent system and started on the water supply lines. My legs are sore from going up and down ladders all day. Will do some more tomorrow, then Tuesday and Wednesday, I will go to the office to give my weary body a chance to recover.

Office? I thought you were retired, unless you mean the office in your home. Somebody last wk asked me what I did because I had mentioned my office, I told her I didn't work and then went on about doing my own investing....ugh...I had just met the woman. I really don't like telling people I'm retired...ones I just met, I'm just funny that way.

I've told my story here before but here is a recap. I retired early at 54 and remained so for three plus years. It was during this period I build out barn 1.0 to live in, traveled to the Ukraine, rode my Harley, but towards the end was on my way to becoming a slug for lack of mental stimulation. Meanwhile, a friend of mine started a business that by this time was booming and needing to grow. Most of that action was in Houston, but he was in Dallas. He worked on me for a long time to run the Houston Office, before I finally relented, mainly to avoid my slide into slugdom.

He said whatever attention I could give it would be more than he could. So that's the deal, I make my own hours, go in or stay home whatever. I keep up with e-mails and phone calls every day but only go into the office two days a week or some weeks not at all. Good gig, decent pay, access to group health, ultimate in flex-time, no Fortune 500 BS.
