I got as much cash as I can spare into 3, 4, 5 yr certificates; I didn't get my IRA transferred over yet. Bummer.

IMO 7 years is too long to be locking up money, particularly when there is a 1yr interest penalty, particularly when there is another bank out there paying 5.10% APY on a 7-year CD.

The same bank will also still pay 5.00% on a 5-year CD. Can't find anything similar on a 3 or 4 year CD though.
