it is painful. obviously estc was a bad choice to ride the coronavirus. doesn't mean wrong choice long-term, but essentially dead money that could have been put to better use.

I see this all as a buying opp...I just can't tell you or myself when the bottom will be.

I remember a fairly smart colleague telling me in the painful early 2009 days, that the market "would never recover". In real-time, in a bleak moment, it is hard to imagine rosier days ahead.

History says we will move on. No other country is more equipped to figure it all out and muscle their way back to prosperity and new highs.

I should have taken the time to learn more about options/shorts, but thankfully employed and too busy.

Moving on...que sera sera.
Gonna worry about keeping the kiddos safe and healthy and the port balance will hopefully work itself out over time.
