I hate to do it as I have 27 year medical practice...

I'd hate to be in your shoes starting over.

I remember when I finished residency in '95, my brother wanted me to check out job offers around Sacramento where he lives. I said no freaking way. At that time, pay was about 1/2 of what I could make here and cost of living was twice as much.

He argument was look at all things you can do here, hike, sail, ski, etc., etc., etc. He didn't understand about having a daily job, call, weekends, etc., and not being able to take off at the drop of a hat like the pseudo-bum that he is.

California, like to visit but I can't work/live there.
