I have a 24X36 print made from a 6MP image shot with a 10 year old Canon G6. I've been asked whether it was from an enlargement from a Kodachrome. You can't get quality like that from a cell phone image, and neither should one expect to. However, most of today's images, whether produced by a pricey DSLR or a throw away phone, are viewed mostly on computer screens or in 4X6 Walmart prints, so it makes no difference.
