I have a similar issue where my lights dim when the laser printer cycles its power. I rarely have it on except when I'm printing something and I do very little printing (mostly boarding passes). If I was planning to stay in the house I would have the wiring modified but I plan to move this year.

The house is older (1970) and the wiring doesn't make any sense. My master bathroom electrical outlet is on the same circuit as my office but they are on the opposite sides of the house.
