I have asked a question similar to this, but I have a new angle. I work for wal-mart and they contribute 2% to the 401k regardless or how much I contribute. I contribute 0% right now. Should I countribute to it or just put money in my Roth?

Why not contribut to both? I put 20% of my salary into my 401K (plus employer matches 4%) and am planning on maxing out my Roth as well. The nicest thing about the 401K is that it lets you put more than the 3K Roth limit in every year.
