I have been trying to educate myself on Munis.

We are looking for a relatively 'safe' investment to park some savings for the medium-short term. ie, we would want access to the money in about 5-10 years.

I was thinking about some sort of fixed income investment that might yield > 4%, with minimized risk on principal. Treasuries are out. CDs are out. I'd prefer a highly rated bond fund. Probably munis, if I can do so with a tax advantage, even better....

Any suggestions on good places to learn more on this?
