I have gone to a number of nurse practitioners with no complaints. I referred a friend to one I went to before we moved.

Friend was 59 and still not menopausal and her gyn was unconcerned. NP said "something's not right" and immediately sent her in for a CT or MRI. The test results precipitated an immediate hysterectomy. A very rare form of ovarian cancer was found in the pathology. Friend is very grateful for the NP's action. She is now part of a study for that cancer at MD Anderson. . . and doing well despite an allergy to the chemo.
