I have learned over time that it is very difficult to make money in IT hardware companies over time. In the late 90's I made a lot of money in Cisco and Qualcomm - however, once the build out cycle started to mature it has been a value trap until the last year or so. Still great companies but not the place for an investor to prosper.

got into Anet on the 100 gig build out and left some time ago at about $280. Has not made money since then.

You guys are so spot on, hardware is so dependent on business c compycles and refresh cycles. Give me that recurring subscription revenue with a "land and expand" SaaS company.
