I have no doubt you would be glad to do just that. However, in the United States we have this thing called the CONSTITUTION and you actually have to prove a person or entity guilty of a criminal charge before you can jail them.

Well, I suggest you put down your self-righteous indignation, because I *HAVE* read the Constitution (several times over, in fact), from whence come things known as legislature-passed, and President/Governor-signed law. There's also this wonderful thing known as Corporate Personhood (the whole reason behind that abomination known as Citizens United), the practical offshoot of which being the officers of the corporation are typically both personally and severally responsible for the action (or in this case, inaction) of said corporation. This has usually meant little more than a slap on the wrist, or maybe a clawback of last year's bonus, but the mechanisms necessary to hold them responsible are very likely already in place (hence no possibility of an ex post facto defense), they just aren't being used to the degree necessary to discourage this sort of behavior.
