I know that I am very "attached" to my work. If I don't like what I do or get recognition, I get depressed. I define myself by my job

I am the same way. I know that my work/life balance is skewed and have been told so by many friends and some colleagues. However, I cannot find challenges in everyday life that match those in my worklife. I also think this has lead to putting more priority on work. Don't get me wrong I have hobbies and a great gf and love to party, but it doesn't compare to the satisfaction I get at work. I am starting to put less emphasis on work and fill other parts of my life, but challenges (intellectual, ethical, etc) don't seem to live up to the ones I find in corporate america. Its quite dysfunctional.
