I like GWRX and I remember that their Geoworks Ensemble OS was pretty cool and light-weight. It certainly seemed technically superior to Windows, but Microsoft pretty much swatted them away as if they were annoying flies and I forgot about them. They had a technically superior product but had to compete against a giant and ended up languishing for a long time. In this sense they are very similar to Qualcomm.

It appears that they have moved from the business of selling their OS, but their services are largely based on their OS technology.

While I think they will continue to do fairly well, I don't think GWRX will be anything like QCOM. The wireless OS landscape has many new competitors including Wireless Linux for Transmeta, PalmOS, Handspring, Symbian, and WindowsCE.
