I like the "Ashoka the Great in Artesia" idea, but here are a couple of others:

Buon Gusto on PCH in Long Beach
Very good Italian food at a very reasonable price.
Not very noisy.
No big round tables, but they do have a separate room in the front that we might be able to completely take over if we come with 20 people.

Rutabegorz in Fullerton
This is a funky little place that was originally a hippy restaurant.
A big eclectic menu with lots of stuff for vegetarians, but stuff for carnivores too.
Again, no big round tables, but again, they have a separate room that we might be able to take over.
