I might add that those who do not approve of the alleged Jew-hatred of the "Christian right" should not approve of the current Jew-hatred being preached by the Christian (and non-religious) left. Maybe someone can explain how the anti-Israel positions taken by these leftists are good for Israel.

First, the issue being discussed is support of Israel based on a non-Jewish religious ideology. I don't know of any Christians who oppose Israel as part of a religious ideology. There is no "Christian left" as a religiously-oriented political force.

Second, I oppose some of Israel's policies. But I don't think of myself as anti-Israeli. I am a Zionist and a firm supporter of Israel's existence as a Jewish state. Should a non-Jewish American who has similar political views about Israel be considered anti-Israeli? I don't think so.
