Hello All,
I need some advice. My story is this:
I made a typo when setting up a web paypent for my credit card and I entered my checking account number wrong. This caused a payment to be missed, a late payment fee, a returned check fee and the previously 0% intrest rate on my card to jump to 9%. In other words, the credit card co, Chase, pretty much did to me what they said they would in the disclosure statement... charged me some fees and upped my rates....*sigh* As soon as I found out that I missed the payment, I imediately made the missed payment, plus the fees, plus a bit more.
Please note, that prior to this, I have never missed a payment, nor been late on any of my payments. My credit rating, prior to this, was very good to excellent.
What I am hoping from you Fools is some advice on how to approach Chase in an effort to get my rate either back to 0% or at least lowered. So far,I have tried called Chase customer service and haven't gotten beyond the first service rep to answer the phone... HELP!
Thanks in advance,
