I missed the NHL awards for the second year in a row. At least three wings won. IMO Zetterberg got robbed, he was rookie of the year!

Pulleeease. Pull the Red jersey out from in front your eyes.

Barrett Jackman deserved the award and it shouldn't have been as close it was. Jackman played in all 82 games for the Blues, racked up 190 penalty minutes, made the All-Star team, replaced Chris Pronger to the point that not many noticed he was gone and consistently shut down opponents' top scorers.

Jackman's most impressive performance came against the Canucks in the playoffs. How a rookie could throttle Todd Bertuzzi (giving away 50 pounds) for 6 of the 7 games of that series is mind boggling.

Zetterberg is a very impressive player, to be sure. But there are loads of guys who come into the league and rack up points.

Not many guys come into the league as a stay-at-home defenseman and earn so much respect around the league that the veterans turn the other way after getting whacked by Jackman.

Just try to remember: the Red Wings are PART of the NHL, they aren't the NHL.
