I must confess to putting my circa 1977 Kirby out by the dumpsters when I could not fit it in the last load, as I was moving out of my old apartment at the end of January.

It wasn't broken, I was just tired of lugging the heavy thing around, and wanted something easier to push, now that i'm middle aged.

The kirby was the first thing I ever bought on credit. It stood me well. I went back the next morning to see if it was still there, but someone had already picked it up. I would give him/her the rest of the attachments, if I knew who its new owners are.
