It's possible. For a long time Model S was the only legit long range EV, and they had frequent conquest from owners of the Prius and such, who would normally not have considered a $60k+ car. Now there are many options, for a lot less money.

Model S will evolve and improve. The 'Plaid' Model S looks to offer unbelievable performance when it comes out before long. But Model 3 and the soon to be released Model Y are where the volume sales are.

Tesla's unit sales increased by about 50% in 2019, and that was with the Shanghai factory only barely getting going. Their sales will continue a very steep ramp in the foreseeable future, not that I like the stock at this price.
