I own Marriott Ocean Watch at Myrtle Beach and Grand Chateau in Vegas and have had nothing but great experiences from such.

We go to Myrtle usually every year and usually "bank" Vegas to go someplace or save it for a future vacation.

When we don't use both weeks, I make money off the resale of them on I can take a full week at Myrtle Beach, and turn it into two-5 day vacations and sell them typically for $1250 to $1500 each - which is twice the annual maintenance cost.

We think they are such great value that we bought one more (as part of an estate sale) last year that we will use for the first time this fall.

As with all things, YMMV and I have learned that it pays to go with a highly reputable company, and pay more, than some of the many cheaper options out there. Note, MVC is not nearly as great a deal today as it was a decade ago. We own deeded units (not points) and can use any week we wish (except at Myrtle where it is primarily summer only).
