I really think they changed their focus purely because the model ports/discussion board model isn't great at generating revenue.

I would agree except that the newsletter doesn't seem to use the RM criteria as was originally conceived or as was modified by Bill Mann. I could be wrong, because I don't subscribe to it, but from what I've read and heard, they seem to use different criteria.

Tom admitted recently that the RM strategy was flawed

So I think there was more to it than a desire to generate more revenue. Tom basically said that the RM strategy didn't work. That is not to say that the underlying philosophy was wrong, but the strategy per the book was flawed.

He is now packaging something else with the newsletter and selling it. Nothing wrong with that, but what happens if the picks in the newsletter start to underperform? Will he change horses mid-stream again?
