I saw that one. I believe it, and I don't.

What I don't believe:
I don't believe that the decision has already been made, or those people probably would have been cut with last week's round. (Side note: I don't know what Virginia law says about layoffs...sometimes there are restrictions as to the size and frequency of layoffs. So there is a small chance this was pre-planned, but I still doubt it.)

What I do believe:
If things don't change, fast, it wouldn't surprise me if there are substantial layoffs in another 2-3 months. Read just a few posts back for my reasoning. I stand by that number: within 3 months, perhaps as little as 6-8 weeks, if there is not a clear sign of turnaround at TMF, another substantial layoff will follow. Doors won't close quite yet, but more pain will be felt.

3 months. And today is one day closer.
