I think for anyone wanting to watch what they eat (and their sodium intake) MyFitnessPal is a great free app. It takes just a little effort to input your food into the app and get the stats on it, and the more you use the App, the easier it is, since it remembers what you eat and you can save your frequent meals to it, too. Initially, the App can change your eating habits considerably, and then you don't need to use it nearly so intensively if you don't want to.
