i think the comcast offer for at&t was 4500 per sub.

im not sure how they get to that number.

the rcn network is less than 4-5 years old and was built from ground up.

at&t bought media one, who had bought and swapped time warner markets and mom and pop cable companies. some of the markets were upgraded by media one but major markets that were cablevision markets still use a network 30-40 years old and have a long way to go...billions in investment to upgrade....who wants to spend now?....this said, i think the comcast offer is way out of wack....or your estimate of 1000 per for rcn subs is low....on growth...doubling is possible but probably requires a lot of capital to add subscribers or very agressive marketing in non-performing markets....in mature markets subs will probably grow by more than 50 percent based on last 3 q's

anyone know how comcast came up with thier $ per sub number, whatever it was?
