I too got the GE pitch. Since it was the first one, I thought it sounded o.k. Since then, have been trying to learn about this stuff. Haven't got to the AARP one or TransAmerica [offered thru my retirement ass'n]

Jeez, it's complicated w/ all the factors to consider. The GE plan had a feature for a couple where they draw from a "pool" of benefits. Good?/Not good? Also heard on one [can't recall company] that offers LTC/life insurance combo. If you never used the LTC benefits, your beneficiary would be get insurance benefits.


I'd like to see a board on this as well. I figure I'll explore this for about 6 months or so before making a move, so I'll be glad to see everyone's posts, and I guess I better go read all the TMF stuff on this topic.
