I was looking through workshop screen definitions and quite a few of them use Value Line Timeliness parameter. I wonder what it is and how it's calculated?

Here are a couple of articles dealing specifically with VL's timeliness ratings:

http://www.fool.com/workshop/1999/workshop990520.htm

The actual calculation of the ratings by VL is a proprietary method, but apparently entails a few RS parameters plus some earnings criteria, i.e. how well the stock and the company both have performed in the past compared with projections, and how well this performance can be expected to continue in the relatively near future.
