I was planning to fix my own lox spread to enjoy w/cucumber rounds, celery sicks & radishes for lunch... but... I had SUCH a hankering for bagel & lox

When I have some kind of spread that just begs for a carb support structure, I use Finn Crisps - those very thin wheat "crackers" that maximize the satisfying crispy-snap per unit of carb. One cracker costs 3.8 grams of digestible carb, so I limit myself to two max. I’ve learned that can just nibble on the cracker part while reloading the spread part, extending the life of each cracker. More thrills per sin.

Matter of fact I’m nibbling on one now, spread with avocado salsa I just made (tomatoes, celery, chives, chili pepper, garlic, cumin, salt, pepper, lime juice, and fresh thyme, parsley, basil (three herbs I happened to have on hand), and of course the star of the show, chopped-up avocado.
