I was still asleep. (West coast dude.) A coworker and friend called and said to turn on the TV. Any channel.

“Work” was the ISP I owned. When I got to work I grabbed the big TV out of the break room and rolled it into the central area of the office. We had a open plan, so most everyone could see the TV from where their desk was. I had no expectation or requirement that anyone do any actual work that day, but nonetheless some intrepid folks still took the handful of tech support calls we got.
