I'm a Slack user, both professionally and personally.

In my professional use, as a small company (~$5-10m annual revenue, less than 20 users) we use the free version. It is fantastic for us. There are a few Luddites or old-school email and F2F idiots slowing our adoption but this is the future.

Personally, well, it's just another 'media' source I check from time to time, or have alerts set up to tell me if someone interesting to me or important to my day has reached out to me.

I owned the stock for a few months when I first became a user, then sold it as I better understood my own use case. It's not a great moat for my use case. YMMV.
