I've eased my masking precautions some after local levels dropped quite low. Now that BA.2 is spreading rapidly in my state, I'll have to decide if I go back to masking at my poker home game. Everyone is vaccinated and we run a HEPA filter, but as cases rise again, chances of it spreading at the game increase.

Yes, you should go back to masking up for poker. If you have to ask if it's necessary, then the answer is yes.

In my multi-step reopening process, dropping the physical distancing measures generally come first. Not masking up comes later. Not masking up in indoor locations around friends/strangers comes way later.
