That's possible?
Why would that bother you so much?

Well, you would get one of the leagues top +/- guys and a great penalty killer, even at his age. He doesn't put up points anymore (seems shy on shooting for some reason), but he is still defensively solid. But .. he isn't going to the Leafs. This is just the regular 'rumored on everyone' that is typical of TML media.
I think he plays in Boston another year, for whatever is left after they resign DeBrusk.

I don’t want any of Boston’s discarded trash and Charter Member of Bruins Goon Squad!!!

Charter Member of Bruins Goon Squad
He is not that old. The Bruins 'charter' for their Goonish reputation goes back to Eddie Shore. Now, if you want to suggest Chara is a 'made man' in that organization, I won't argue.

Why are you fighting tradition? Everyone knows that all is supposed to be forgiven once your favorite teams signs a hated rival.

The Big Bad Bruins were the best team in history. I'm so proud to have grown up with them!
Bucyk
Espo
Cashman
Hodge
McKenzie
Sanderson
Westfall
Green
Orr
Smith
Cheevers
Johnston
Did I miss anyone of note from early '70's?
Orr could fight with the best of them and stood up for his teammates, so I guess you would put him on your "goon" list, LOL.

Careful. You don't want ... too many men on the ice. (of course that was late 70's).

Mr Munkin, you’re breathing too much of that soot in air...LOL!!!
they’re at 5th best team:
Montreal Canadians in Jean Beleveau era..
Edmonton Oilers in Gretzky era...
NY Islander in Billy Smith era (4 SC’s in a row)...
TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS of early 60’s!!! (3 SC’s in 7 years)

TR,
Certainly can't argue ... with those first 3 anyway.

in the post-6 team era After 67), in terms of sorta dynasties (4 or more SCs)
Canadians 68, 69, 71, 73, 76, 77, 78 79
Oilers 84, 85, 87, 88, 90
Pitt 91, 92, 09, 16, 17
Islanders 80, 81, 82, 83
Red Wings 97, 98, 02, 08
Then there were near misses
Black Hawks 10, 13, 15
Flyers 74, 75
Bruins 70, 72
just prior to expansion in 67, the 6 team league was dominated by Montreal and Toronto
No doubt, the Bobby Orr led Bruins were good, but not in the same league as the top list. The Bruins did come in 2nd 4 times in the 70s. However, Both the Oilers and Islanders had a second place finish in addition to their wins, and Philly had a number of seconds.

Leafs won the Cup in 62/63/64 and then the pesky Habs won it 2 years in a row and then the Leafs won their LAST SC for 54 years!!!

Boston Bruins of 70’s were CHOKERS, Mr Munkin!!!
Hall of Farmers galore and only 2 SC’s to show for it...
Here’s Tony Romo’s Top 4 in any order:
Henri Richard Habs, I think he’s got something 9 SC rings...
Gretzky/Messier Oilers...multiple SC
Mike Bossy Islander...4 SC in a row...
Leafs of early 60’s...4 SC in 6 years

No question these teams underachieved. Ironically, Celtics aside, it fit with the mentality of the city at the time, good teams that just couldn't finish it out.

All you guys think about are stats. Everything comes down to numbers with you all. Sad.
Excitement watching the games is more important to me. Thus, the Big Bad Orr Bruins are tops.
