Ivestors Business daily had an article on Slam on the New America page in todays paper, monday, Nov.24. Sound prettyupbeat to meDoes anyone know how many shares Management controls?.
The CEO owns about 15%. He used to own much more, but there's been quite a bit of dilution of shares due to follow on offerings. His holdings haven't gotten any smaller due to selling, just as a % of the company due to dilution.-Bob
According to IBD 49% so about 594,570 shares.HuricaneBob,has the 3,000,000 share offering you posted about in September already happened?Cathy
Hello,I ran across the article and it interested me. I did a little research. SLAM appears to be quit a nice small cap company. Profit margins of 30%, pleasant earnings surprises, lots of coverage for a small cap, 99 EPS rank, 79 RS. SLAM also appears to be fairly undervalued. The FOOL PEG is .60. This stock also appears to meet the Fools 8 criteria for the best growth stocks, except the price is over 20 (not a rule they stick to themselves!).Some concerns I have...P/S is around 15. I also am not very familiar with the hotel industry. Does the PEG apply? Or are there other measurements I should look at more carefully? If I'm not mistaken they are building a new one near my house in Columbus, OH. Might have to check it out.Any info greatly appreciated,Alex
Yes, Cathy, it has.-Bob
