If I make a private loan to another individual, is there a way to get that loan included in the individual's credit rating?

No. In order to put info on somebody's credit report, you have to be a subscriber to the credit reporting services of Experian, Equifax, and/or Trans Union.

And these companies only sell subscriptions to accredited lenders (due to the privacy implications).

If someone defaults on a private loan, you have a number of ways of putting that default on their credit record, for instance, a landlord reporting on a deadbeat tenant.

And of course if you sue them and win a judgment, it's easy to get the judgment put on their credit report.
