I'm not in the restaurant business and I have not seen the show, only a few advertisements for the show.

A couple of things to keep in mind:

1. You're seeing video that has been edited to show what the editors think will result in the best television ratings. That may or may not have distorted the overall context - my guess is it has.

2. Remember that you're looking through a camera lense - meaning the people you see were likely very aware they were being taped. The presence of a television camera will cause people to act and say things in ways they normally would not.


It's entertainment for people seeking entertainment on a Sunday night. I wouldn't go making important business observations based on the show.
