I'm not much of a environmentalist, but I don't think you need to have a doctorate to know that there are some serious issues we are facing. I disagree that AMEX, and other large corporations, shouldn't be "hassled". The issue needs to be raised, and our corporate citizens need to address it. Although AMEX isn't a brick & mortor coal or electric company, it is a company that invests in these industries. It could have some influence in shaping policy.

I see nothing wrong with asking AMEX to state its policy on this issue, and to ask them to be proactive.

Just my 2 cents.
