I'm not so sure he was a misogynist but he was certainly primarily interested in "manly" things - war, hunting, the relationship between father and son, etc. There's nothing intrinsically wrong with that, after all he was a man, but his writing has never really interested me very much. (Admitted, maybe that's my shortcoming.) Sorry, I chose other books to read and look forward to the discussions.Sharon
