No. of Recommendations: 26
I'm too lazy to look up who said it, but there was a suggestion made in recent days of how this whole Fool Alert thing could be curbed to a reasonable level. The gist of it was that just as is the case with limiting the number of recommendations to 30 a day, TMF should limit the number of times a poster can FA posts in a given period - like one per month. Perhaps that way people who take great personal pleasure in FAing posts would be more selective about what they FA.

But perhaps more so than the self-appointed Morality Police, the ultimate decision to pull a post belongs to the person at TMF with the finger on the Big Delete button. It is at this position (whoever is manning the helm at any given time) where discretion must be exercised, and some clear guidelines would be helpful because acquiescing to the demands of a reality challenged solitary Fool is a poor interpretation of "community standards". These guidelines, rather than the vague community standards now in force, should spell out in clear and concise language what is allowed and what is not, so we could all play by the same rules.
