IMO, the stock is fairly valued right now. You have to understand that the price of oil at an alltime high. If oil prices go down as some experts suggest, I would expect APA to go down in price. If it stays high or goes higher(as others suggest), then this would be a great time to invest.

I bought about a 1 1/2 years ago. At the time, it was "fairly valued" also (not cheap, but closer to its average PE). I wanted a solid growth company in the oil sector. A lot of Apache's revenue growth comes from the high oil prices, along with growth of the company.
