In February I backtested two years, plus eight months of 98/99, based on selecting only from the top 30 Australian stocks by market cap. (I actually only looked at the 30 companies which were top ranked as at feb 99) Considering June 98-Feb 99 as a full year, the capital growth was approx. 27% p.a., using the RP4 approach and only discarding the top ranked stock if it was both highest yielding and lowest priced.

Personally I prefer the top 30 to say the top 100 because of the relatively small size of the Aussie companies.
