In response to a question about a month ago, TMFPixy writes (in part):

Add any money to your IRA on or after April 16, 2000, and that contribution will count against annual limits for tax-year 2000.

I reply:

Actually, there's a nit to pick here. April 15, 2000, is a Saturday, so the tax deadline will be April 17, 2000, and 1999 Roth IRA contributions may be made until then. Contributions made on or after April 18, 2000, will count against the limit for tax year 2000. --Bob
