I should stress that I don't for a minute think that BAMartin just went out and indulged in some outright plagiarism or anything like that. Some stranger somewhere way back at the other end of the long e-mail chain that ended in her inbox did, though. I've still never quite figured out why folks who will go to the trouble to copy and e-mail other people's material won't take the extra 10 seconds it would take to type "From (wherever)."

If y'all haven't checked out www.topfive.com, you definitely should. It is hi-effin'-larious. Most of it's free, but if you subscribe, you'll get a couple of chances each month to submit entries for Top ___ lists like the one above. Non-subscribers can also submit Deep Thoughts-style musings to the Daily Ruminations part. Who knows, maybe you'll come up with an amusing observation relating to sweaters and windbreakers and get it published and then shamelessly brag about your accomplishment to total strangers.
